Cookie Policy

What this website stores in your browser, why, and how you can control it.

Last updated: October 2026

1. What we store

We keep this to a minimum. Most of what we store is in your browser’s local storage rather than in cookies, and none of it is used for advertising. We never store your IP address in our own visit records.

2. The full list

• bd_consent (local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask again on every page.
• bd_vid (local storage): a random visitor number that lets us count visits and, if you later send an enquiry, see which pages you read first. It contains no name, email or phone number.
• bd_sid (session storage, deleted when you close the tab): groups the pages of one visit together.
• bd_attr (local storage): the page and campaign that first brought you to the site, so we know which of our pages and advertisements are useful.
• bd_planner_draft (local storage): saves your answers in the trip planner so you do not lose them if you leave the page. It is deleted when you send the enquiry.

Our own visit records (page, referring website, campaign, country, region, city and device type) are stored on Cloudflare and are deleted after 13 months.

3. Google Analytics

If you accept analytics on our banner, we load Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to measure how the site is used. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Google processes this data under its privacy policy.

4. Security checks

Our enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending it. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie for this. It is strictly necessary to protect the form from spam and cannot be switched off.

5. Your choices

You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the site will still work, although the trip planner will not remember a draft.
